Booster Cables / Jump Lead
INSTRUCTION: Make sure both cars are not touching and ignition switches are ignition switches are turned off. 2) Connect one end of the cable with the red clamp to the POS. (+) post of the good battery and the other red clamp to the position of the dead battery.
Connect the black clamp of cable to the NEG. (-) post of the good battery and the other black clamp to the frame bumper or engine block of the car with the dead battery. (Do not connect directly to the NGE, post of the dead battery). Make sure clamps from one cable do not accidently touch the clamps of the other cable. After the engine of the car with the dead battery is running. disconnect the cable clamps in the reverse order of (2) & (3)NOTE: This method is for use with NEG. ground batteries only. WARNING: Keep sparks, flames and lighted cigrettes away from batteries. Check water level of battery before jump starting. If water is not visible or is frozen. Do not jump start. Batteries only of the same voltage should be jump started. DANGER: Lead-acid type batteries contain sulfuric acid. Contact with skin. eyes or clothing should be avoided. Antidote. External flush eyes with water for 10 minutes. Internal-drink large amounts of water or milk and contact physician immediately. ![]() |
